Agreed, that looks amazing. Are you going to do some Day 2 wheels or keep the poverty caps and steelies?

Are you going to put the insert in the scoop or leave it as is? Looks great by the way.

Re: My 68' chevelle baldwin motion L88 re-creation

Well....... i bought a orig insert in the gm box and it doesn't fit! Dam and im not reworking the hood so i was thinking of doing a satin black in the insert. Any other ideas??

earntaz 02-02-2017 11:15 PM

Re: My 68' chevelle baldwin motion L88 re-creation

Satin black would be OK or find someone that is good with an airbrush and duplicate the chrome insert with paint. TAZ

I've always been a big '68 Chevelle fan since I owned one BITD. I love the uniqueness of them with the offset grill and rolling tach. Yours look killer, nice job.

It's been awhile but finally got back to finishing up what I started, pulled the 12 bolt and installed a new Yukon center and a 3.90 gear set along with rear discs to help stop

L78M22Rag 05-09-2017 05:05 AM

Ha! Only 598 hp and 600ft.... I can see why you had to upsize to the 565. What'd it make?

Dagodave 05-09-2017 11:20 AM

The 565 made 672 hp 700 ft on pump gas..... had to ad a vacuume pump to keep my power brakes

Dagodave 05-09-2017 05:30 PM

Short vid of it running

Thats decent. I built a 565 Dart a couple years ago and it made 713hp & 732tq on 10:5 compression with a Bullet solid roller in it. It was a mitt-full to hang on to when you mashed the go fast pedal.

Nice work on the Chevelle. :)
