Reluctantly crouched at the starting line,
Engines pumping and thumping in time. The green light flashes, the flags go up. Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup. They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank, Fuel burning fast on an empty tank. Reckless and wild, they pour through the turns. Their prowess is potent and secretly stearn. As they speed through the finish, the flags go down. The fans get up and they get out of town. |

This is a bit of tough one: I lost a girl it's just as well She tried to save me from myself I still got her on my mind Tossing and turning in my bed But if she had stayed another week, I would have dragged her down with me She took off 'cause she had enough Is that what I thought love was? I told her "See you later" But it's hard to see at all At the bottom of the barrel With your back against the wall I'm not a cool guy anymore Left it behind and closed the door I know you can't escape the past Now I look back and have to laugh I was my worst enemy It almost got the best of me What was I thinking of? I couldn't stand the way it was |

Trick question, RUSH again w/ Little Red Barchetta! Strange words but I used to love the song also isn't today's day/age when he finds the car? Growing up in S. Ontario I was lucky enough to see RUSH a few times in the 70's/80's...once or twice w/ Max Webster who really rocked before KM's solo days. ~ Pete |
