Stefano, we are shooting for the November MCACN show so I'll keep you posted. Also want to thank you for selling me the car. It turned out to be everything you said it was, just took me 8 years to decide to restore it. Hopefully I'll see you in November.

As evidenced by these pictures, Neil Young &amp; Crazy Horse were dead on with the title of their album &quot;Rust Never Sleeps&quot;. The car has been stripped and some minor rust issues were uncovered. The passenger fender had rust creeping up the side where it meets the door so will be replaced with a NOS fender. Other rust issues are minor, mostly pin holes in trunk and floor pans. The driver's floor pan had a 2&quot;x2&quot; approx spot rusted through and will be patched with donor GM original sheet metal. I'm told the project is on track for completion for showing at the MCACN in November. I only have this photo of the passenger fender to upload, the other's showing the referenced issues are in JPEG format and can't be uploaded. If anyone knows how to convert to JPG I'll post them as well.

My project is taking longer than anticipated but progressing. Here are a few pics after body painting. I am still looking for a 499 distributor for a 05D build if anyone knows of one.

As an aside, I wish Goodyear still sold those early Eagle ST tires with the small letters and &quot;eagle&quot; on them. Probably the best looking white letter radial for these muscle cars (for guys that don't want bias-ply).

I agree on the tires. I checked the dates on these and they are dated 1984, no dry rot and great tread. Althought incorrect I have decided to leave these on the car.

I would change those tires if you are going to drive the car at all. I helped judge a 74 Corvette with super low miles at an NCRS event in the 90's. The original Good Years looked perfect during judging, but the left rear blew during the performance verification. Busted up the inner and outer quarter and did a number on the paint. I have NOS Good Years on my '65 FLH, but it is a show only bike for now. Be carefull with such a beautiful car!

Thanks Mark, I won't be driving it at all, not because I don't want to, but I can't due to a genetic visual defect; selling my stuff, too much temptation! I do like the looks of the Goodyears! If it's sold the new owner can change them.
