What Dan so eloquently suggested:-) I have to find a Canso and a Beaumont.....which I have not found inside my rear brake drums:-) I looked and looked...NOPE.

Anybody have a lead on one of these rare Canadian cars? I am all ears!!!

The car is VERY rare to start with. G code 406/405 4 speed with 4:10 rear in a base Ford 300 sedan. 406 is on the stand and a very rare and real Ford SOHC 427 in the bay...BKH

Brian Stefina has several Mercurys, including a 400 horse tri-power 58 430 cu inch post car. He appears every once in a while over on V8Buick. He may be up for a car show, if you furnish beer.

I made contact with the owner of the 1966 Canso Intruder L79 Post Sedan.

The warm welcome invitation has been extended!!

I will look into some transportation options as this car is the perfect Canadian representative for our display!!

At normal shows the owner mentioned his Canso Intruder wagon sometimes gets more attention, but I can assure you people will fly to Chicago just to see this car!! Who has ever seen one??

The 58 is a little outside the theme of our display.

we are keeping to a very tight sixties low cost, low option group of cars.

I would love to see it again, maybe at PSMCDR? It really stood out at Floyd Garrett's

I sent you a PM to try and even things up......original owner, original paint, original girlfriend, original 4 speed, 12000 original miles..........original 409 blown up on the drag strip, original order sheet...............and it has a B pillar but Dan won't even consider it for our display.......:-)

I am hoping someone helps me with a high horsepower Post Sedan Beaumont, I am striking out so far.....still swinging in though!!!!! maybe this will put some good karma out in the wild world?

Sorry to jump the gun, my Dad was talking to the owner at the show but didn't get his name.......we figured we would easily get his name from the restoration shop that had the show but he didn't register..........I will find him don't worry, just not as easy as I thought.

Dan wouldn't consider having this car in the Post Sedan Showcase as his buddy Verne should get this car as it is a 409 car first and formost!

This is not to say we wouldn't love to have this car in the show, whether in the 409 Showcase if it meets Vernes criteria or as an individual entry.

I appreciate the help very much. While we already have a '63 425hp convertible signed up, that Belair would be a great addition due to the body style, super rare Cordovan Brown paint and original owner history (racing). I'm also wondering if the chrome wheels are the rarer than rare factory optional chrome wheels. They were offered in '63 in 14x5 and that's what those wheels look like to me. I hope I get to talk to the owner.

There is a 70 Ralley 350 post running around town here with the original rough paint etc, I will run by and try to get a picture of the car and question him as to his interest in bringing it to Chicago if interested.
