Re: Vintage Drag Pics
For some reason I thought the Air Grabber was also standard on the 6 Barrel.

Re: Vintage Drag Pics
Yeah. Lots of hemi darts. I owned that Dick Landy Dart for a few months back n the late 1980s. sold it for a minor profit and didnt find out it was THE Landy Dart until two years ago. Back then they didnt have the internet or a way to cross reference the VINs against original delivery records. Boy, did I feel like a dummy for not sanding the red primer down to see what was underneath.

That's my understanding. I just don't see it on the 440 Six Barrel Roadrunner in the photo. |

Re: Vintage Drag Pics
----Being an Ohio boy I saw a bunch of these cars run. The "Bill McGraw" in the Charger worked for Bob McDorman in the 60s. He actually set my 66 427/425 Corvette up as he was racing one at the time. He lent me a pair of mounted slicks one weekend when both he and I made some passes at National Trail.I was going to Ohio U at the time and N.T. wasnt that far from me. Bill was a great guy and went with the Rod Shops when they started up. I believe that car was restored and showed up at an auction if I remember correctly.......Bill S

Re: Vintage Drag Pics
Not a vintage pic, but I wanted to post the window sticker on Chuck Comella's 68 Race Hemi Dart. ( Also a 71 Six-Pack Charger thrown in for good measure) These were taken at New England Nationals last weekend.

Several of John Hagen's Hemi cars. Sadly he was killed in a drag racing accident in a run while we were staging for our run down the track in our Camaro Pro Stock.

John owned the car at the time that photo was taken. I believe it was later changed to the red (similar graphics) paint scheme and John still owned it. Shortly after it was sold to John Scholla. The last photo is how the car looks today and is still raced.

Speaking of John Hagen, this was one of his very first race cars. A real 63 427 aluminum front clip car.
