Did I read the add correctly? - they decked the block on the original engine? I hope they saved the pad.

I love the color combo of that Chevelle. White/ivory/parchment or whatever color you want to call the interior is so period perfect.

Me too. Ryan 69 chevelle SS BB 396 4 speed both matching numbers 12 bolt posi still has the tag on it not sure if original but correct for the car, the car was just repainted black that was the color it was when I got the car base coat water born clear coat it has not been wet sanded and buffet yet, the white interior isin vey nice condition has been replaced at one time needs a new dash pad which I have and will try to replace before the auction end.the chrome is new I have the original badges that came on the car and they will come with it, all the glass is good windshield is new and the back glass was resealed, the vinal top I believe is original but is in very good shape no soft spots on the roof so you could change the color if you want the 396 is a numbers matching block and heads and intake It was just rebuilt by a professional builder(thanks to my neighbor he was starting it and letting it run and the fuel pump went bad and filled the oil pan full of gas wipe number 1 and 4 rods, bearings and crank) It has a new steel crank, connecting rods, bearings std, new valve springs, new crane cam (out of 375 HP) hastings rings std, push rods and rockers are original the only have 59000 miles has had a valve job and hardnd seats, the block was line bored for crank and cam also they were decked, new carb, new fuel pump, new oil pump, new water pump, all the fluids were changed at that time, has a new zoom clutch, through out bearing pressure plate and pilot bushing, has new bushings upper and lower as well as pitman arm then front end alignment, the car runs great at 70 MPH all day can drive any where brakes disk front drum rear are like new, has new tires every thing works as it should if you have any questions let me know and if you need more pictures let me know I`m sure I forgot something its a great car looks and drives as |

Re: 1969 Chevelle Black ext, Parch int, White top
Hi Chuck:
I assume the pretty blonde may need a body off restoration now too:-) Ryan |
Re: 1969 Chevelle Black ext, Parch int, White top
Ryan, that's gotta be the same car as they both have that early years 396 decal on the pass side valve cover and the chrome Olds-type wheels and the missing buttons on the seat backs (I hate that when people leave them off )

Re: 1969 Chevelle Black ext, Parch int, White top
Agree, 69 seats need buttons. (some small details like that don't pop out but they add up as you look over a car)
Has anyone ever seen a Black or Burnished Brown 1969 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Post Sedan with a white Vinyl top? Any pictures? I would love to see one to help my next car selection process..... Ryan |
Re: 1969 Chevelle Black ext, Parch int, White top
Probably a rare bird to find a post sedan with a vinyl top....if you're going for the bargain basement car you don't usually add bling like that....

I've got more photos of this car, just got to find them.

Re: 1969 Chevelle Black ext, Parch int, White top
Thanks Rick, take you time, but I would really appreciate the pictures at some point. The combination in your picture is stunning. (Black, Parchment, Black VT)
Bill, I agree about the low dollar car getting very few options, but a few came with VT's......without seeing one myself I wonder if it will look "right"? My friend Dan Vasic suggests no stripes, no VT, no anything except an L89-M22-KK on/in a 300 Deluxe. Ryan |
