It only means that there were 2 guys willing to pay that much. With all of this talk about everyone having several of these, are any of them NOS like the one on auction? I wouldn't mind having a closer look at some of the literature that went with these shifters.

Very good point. There is a guy on there that has one in the box, nos. Just as good as this one that sold. The only difference is the box is a little later dated and it's for a top loader. He has a 995.00 price tag and it's been on there for months.
IMO, this stuff isn't worth anymore than it was when new. But, all it takes is someone wanting it bad enough to pay up.

Used those shifters are 2 to 4 hundred dollars..depending on how clean and original.NOS with instruction,hardware and decals is another story.

that ones for a v-gate not a ram rod. the ram rod boot has the reverse lever
right next to the stick. :3gears:
