It looked like they were wrapping the fuel lines with something in that one old picture you posted. It tells me the theme was to keep the fuel temp down when you look at that and the carb choice. very cool. my new favorite carb choice.

Bob, there also was a cool can for ice to cool the fuel. On a hot day you will pick up 2 1000ths.
