Re: Is this a real Z28?
all solid lifter Z28's came with the "optional" rear bumper guards as part of the package, all the way through 72 ...

Re: Is this a real Z28?
That's because the lack of torque from that lil' 302 would let them roll back into the car behind them at red lights or hilly parallel parking.

Absolutely not true for a '67 Z-28. Rear bumper guards were not a mandatory part of the Z package until 1968. |

Tahoe Turquoise w/white stripes sure looks a whole lot better than this mess in my book! Ahhh.... the 60's Bill Pankiw |
Re: Is this a real Z28?
Rear bumper guards were not standard equipment on 67 Z's.

Re: Is this a real Z28?
Those are 14-inch Disc Brake wheels with D70s. Same setup as disc '67 SS's.

So the prototype 67 Z must have had solid lifters....... |

Re: Is this a real Z28?
The prototype Z has a rear spoiler too; never offered in 67. Bumper guards were an option in 67, included in the Z28 package in 68 and 69.
As for the wheels, I think the color and location of the stripe are deceiving between the two pictures. They both look like 15" wheels to me. |
Re: Is this a real Z28?
I will take one of each! Fits many moods:)
Notice how the mod top does not wrap around the rear window- strange Jim |
Re: Is this a real Z28?
My 67 z/28 didnt have the rear bumper guards either.
