Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
Congrats on a beautiful car. Not that many around in that paint combo. According to CRG only 2.4% where two tone color, divide that up on the total 6 combos and it would be roughly 1000 cars made in 55 50. Not many still around of those.

Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro

|
Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
Both cool cars, I love them. I have two original paint '67 red Corvettes and the colors are a shade different. One was bult in August and one was built five months later in January.

Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
Awesome car.

Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
OK Charley,
I'll call your bet and raise you another pair of 69's (but with bigger engines). Pulled these out the other day for a little sunshine cruise... Actually, congrats on your latest - but Azure Turquoise is my favorite 69 color and I'm really jealous.... If you ever want to sell - yada, yada, yada.... http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...P1010001-1.jpg |
Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro

Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
Very nice find and like both the cars.

Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
Hey Charlie,
You have two great cars, they are awesome. How do you up load such great pictures with such a small file size required by the site? Thanks |
Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
The site now allows bigger pics.
|

So (600KB) is no longer the size limit for each photo or is that the new size limit? |
Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro

Did that car come out of the Syracuse area? Mike |
Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro

Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro

Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
Cool cars Charley. Noticed your RS car does not have the Camaro emblem on the trunk lid. Wonder if it was resprayed at some point.

The RS is just a odd car. It was Vintage judged and they all agreed it was orig. paint. Odd trunk sticker and bolts also. Something not normal apparently happened on the assembly line that day.

Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
As long as you are going to lose points for the painted bolts.....you might as well do a LS swap.......Drive that "Beater".......
|
Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
yea Ls swap
|
Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
There is a research topic over at CRG about the holes in the trunk lid. For the emblem they were stamped out and all other holes were drilled on the line.
http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=3752.0 This one is dated before the Firebirds came to Norwood so there shouldn't be a mixup. The trunklid bracing on 69 Camaros had the holes for mounting the Trans Am wing from around 01A or maybe earlier. Yours don't have that. It could be a replacement lid you have there. Jan |

Man, some F70 pinstripe whitewalls would look really good with those wheels. |

Jan </div></div> Jan, possibly you're confused but this 69 Rally Sport is LOS built car. That plant started building Firebirds in 1968. This car is an 11B built car so it should not have the extra holes to accommodate the TA spoiler. We found this car to be original in both body panel and paint(all sheet metal date codes matched the build period). Again this is an 11B LOS built car therefore your assertion that the trunk lid is replace is incorrect. A team of four judges spent over three hours on this car and it’s as real and unrestored as they get. |
Re: smart guy that I am...9800 mile 69 Camaro
Sorry I missed that the lid was from the RS, I thought we talked about the 6-cyl car here
Easy to mix up with to cars in the same thread... Jan |
