To protect the rarity of Adam's collection he should leave his decals alone and not reproduce them. If you want something he has or anyone else for that matter make a deal with them and purchase it. Reproducing only hurts the market especially a niche market like original memorabilia. Creating reproductions would be in self interest which Adam clearly does not have by voicing sentiments in keeping the collection as original as possible. -Dave [/ QUOTE ] I agree. There are tons of vintage look alike decals available right. It seems to me what happens is someone repops a huge lot of these things and floods the market with them causing them to become just another sticker available at every Goodguys show or Ebay store or swapmeet. I have drawers full of decals I have bought over the last few years and at one point a lot of them were fairly unique but now are plastered all over the place. Nothing looks worse at a car show than a 60's muscle car with a repop AHRA decal or participant decal and Dakota digital gauges and late model car wheels all sitting on top of a S-10 frame. The 50 model merc I saw last week with Parking permit decals from Auburn University in the 60's was the real deal...... Tommy https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif |

Re: Speed part stickers and memorabilia
Adam,
Good looking collection. I managed to find the Linda/ Hurst water sticker and I have that in my quarter glass. I found one of the Hurst/ Vietnam stickers and I gave it to my buddy who served. To all of you who have or are currently serving the country in our military..... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif |

Re: Speed part stickers and memorabilia
I remember the Perfect Circle door sticker clearly from when I was a kid. They were on the doors at my Dad's parts store. There is some threads here that is really triggering some memories. Now.......if I was only a hundred pounds again!

Adam I would interested in this sticker if you find one. Or just any perfect circle stickers in general. Does anyone else have one of these in better shape just wondering what the sticker looks like complete? Thanks Jason http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d1...4Image0021.jpg [/ QUOTE ] I want to thank Adam for bringing this topic up. Some fine examples of some cool day 2 stuff. I had forgot when I bought my car it had a piston ring circle sticker on the quarter window. It was very faded and worn from the sunlight and weather. It was actually white but was suposed to be red. I searched for a couple of years to find another one to replace it but had no luck. Sammy pointed out after I posted the picture, that the sticker was on e-bay from time to time. Well I found one and it is on its way. Looking forward to putting it back onto my car! Thanks Adam and Sammy. We need a section to discuss this day 2 stuff? That would be cool; I think the day 2 look is back on the rise! Jason |

Re: Speed part stickers and memorabilia
Neat shifter but looks confusing??? Where do you leave the 1/2 gear shifter when you use the 3/4 gear? Is there some sort of cam that disengages the other shifter when its not in use? Mark

Re: Speed part stickers and memorabilia
Bieber (sp?) shifter. Neat! One lever is for upshifts, the other is for downshifts. A third (shorter) lever works reverse. The main shifter works on a cam effect that moves the tran shift arms. All done by working them with a groove in the circular piece of metal. Those puppys were expensive even when new in the late 60's / early 70's.
