I don't wish that crap on anyone, but keep in mind that our snow arrives Nov/Dec and STAYS until late March, mid April.
Also, whatever you guys usually get travels right up the eastern seaboard and dumps on us.

OH, I am ready. I know already that I will have to take my daughter-in-law to work tomorrow late afternoon and pick her up about 1:00 am. That is if the hospital lets her shift go home. About 5-6 new inches of snow. Real slushy and heavy. Kinda raining/sleeting at this point. Did it miss us? More coming? Are we lucky? Am I to optimistic? Blizzard warning just issued here. We got two feet over the weekend, another foot+ so far today and still snowing hard. Forecast is for snow into this evening then 30 mph winds. Guys be carefull with all that snow on your roof.Especially if you get rain later,makes the load even heavier.We got a lot of snow here two years ago and a couple of home's roofs caved in.Go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a roof rake,long ajustable pole with a plastic scoop on the end,and standing on the ground you can pull snow off of the roof.It's not only flat roofs that you have to worry about.Peaked also.Bill.

Also need to be aware of ice dams that form under the snow in roof valleys and at the gutters. Those can trap water from the melting snow and cause leaks that may go un-noticed for a while.

Yeah, we had 7" of wet packing snow when I got up this morning. I was working from home but decided to go out and run the snowblower to clear it before the temps dropped and it froze solid. That was a good decision because we are now at 28 degrees and dropping fast! We'll probably get another foot or more on top of the overnight snow we got. This is just incredible for the mid Atlantic. Down around DC/Balt has a heck of a lot more than us too!
