Re: Part #2... 1969 Twin Turbo Chevelle Project
The precision on that build is incredible! Very clean and well laid out.
Two questions I would like to ask. Do you have any supports for the turbo other than the flange it bolts to? Do you find any problems with the expansion of the SS exhaust with those fixed position hangers or is there an alloy that doesn't expand so much? Car really looks great! |

Re: Part #2... 1969 Twin Turbo Chevelle Project
WOW the Fabrication work and attention to detail is incredible, obviously someone loves what they do! Very few take the time to do things right any longer.
The monochromatic shades of Gray is a very clean look. An Absolute Work of ART! |

Re: Part #2... 1969 Twin Turbo Chevelle Project
We got the top put on, ISIS system fully installed {great system}, power windows installed and adjusted, not easy on a conv. Got the car all cleaned up and took some new pics. Waiting on the MIMOD system and then heading to the interior shop.

Thanks everyone, but Greg really deserves ALL the credit. We all know how much determination, planning, time, stress and money it takes to build such a car. It really takes the right team to build such an amazing car, I am very pleased I was able to be part of it. Greg you really out did yourself on this 1969 Chevelle, hope you enjoy it for many years! Bill, Funny you should say that....at certain times as we were working on the Chevelle, I was shouting "Riddler"! Dan |
Re: Part #2... 1969 Twin Turbo Chevelle Project
thanks for all the replies. mike gamble from Gambles street rods did the fabrication work and assembled and wired the car.Johns auto body crew did all the paint, body work, hood, front spoiler and mirrors and did a great job.it takes alot of different ideas from alot of different people to put something together like this.in the long run i stuck with my vision of what i thought a bad looking chevelle should be and went with it.after the interior is finished then we will see if something else needs to be added to the paint.Dan and I did put the windows in and adjust them, what a pain in the butt so most of the credit don't go to us on this one.it took 3 years to finish, should of been less than 2 but a few people held us up on parts for over a year and a half.so these cars are just as much trouble as finding that NOS part to complete your restoration. greg

The car look great. My favorite parts require the hood to be up and the car on a lift to be seen. Hopefully they do not go unnoticed when you take her out.

Looks great, I definitely have not seen anything like that here locally.... That takes ballz to do and most guys would not step out of the mold and create something like that. I like to go to shows or meets and see different cars, not a row of cars(chevelles) that all look a like. Bozz |
