Everything is cool guys. I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew I wasnt trying to mislead anyone on any of my cars. Btw The impala is my buddy Dans car,Not mine. We will see what happens. It ends tonight and Im really overwelmed at the responce to it. Didnt think there was that many big car lovers out there.{Even thou its only 1 foot longer than my GTO LOL} A couple guys are coming over the weekend and I'll see what they offer. There was a comment about the intake having to come off in order to change the washer that was leaking. Wouldn't it be easier to pop the water pump loose ?

Nope

Taking the water pump itself off wouldnt help you as the grommet backs up to the timing chain cover. Believe me. An intake on a Pontiac takes no time at all. Very simple fix.

It was even a easier fix mike. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif I made a small half inch turn on the 3/8 bolt that connects the timing cover to the intake a started driving the car and the antifreeze was gone! Like I told a couple of potential bidders "The grommet swells once the engine heated up and the leak is gone". I cant believe how this leak which wasnt even an ounce of fluid got legs like this. Moral of the story is take a paper towel and wipe up any fluid before you take a pic https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif To be honest I didnt see it by the naked eye. I guess the flash made it look like a small river under there. I LIKE the car

I think it is cool in a BIG way

I could read through all the stuff and realize how nice the car is "as-is"

IF that car was here it would have been hmmm ... who knows ?

It is very cool and even if it is red (just a "thing" of mine, not a fan of red), I would be proud to own it

On these Pontiac engines its also very important to loosen or leave the intake bolts loose before tightening the long 3/8" bolt to allow the intake to snug up tight against the timing cover. I've seen too many guys break that bolt trying to tighten it without doing so.

That's a beautiful & rare GP by the way! The next owner should be very happy with it.

I read the postings and then looked at car.

I have never owned a Pontiac (among the many GM's I have owned) But this is a great find for someone.

Did you sell it? Let us know.

I have the same problem as you however, but one day, my
"barn" will be full. (hopefully not just full of it).
