I am sorry it took so long for me to post but I had to wait to come to work because my internet at home keeps going down. I have yet to figure out why Bruce was walking around with no jacket on because it was cold out there.
As much as I love my Nova there truly is something special about Joe's Nova and Bart's Z/28. It would be worth the trip to California just to see these cars. After the show Dave showed me a few of his other cars. I know he drives every one of them but they all look perfect and I can see how they all keep ending up in magazines. I have to admit seeing these great 1969 Camaros it is starting to give me the bug to get one. It was great seeing everybody and you guys made my week end a great one.

Neat to hear about the article. Joe is a great guy that just happens to own a great car from day one. The best part about his car is that you might just walk past it at a car show if you did not hear it run or see all the neat details. His car is subtle but I am certain Joe has it dialed in to go very fast when he wants to.

Paul, Joe's car is a SS350 Nova that he bought brand new in 1969. The car still has it's original paint but if he ever decided to repaint it I would tell him to find a way to get his car up to you somehow. I have never seen silver sprayed as well as what you did on the other silver car.

I just got my copy of Hemmings today. The article Jeff did is awesome and well deserved for both the car and its owner. We have been friends for a while and whenever I see your car it still blows my mind that you and the car have never parted. This article will be another part of your car and its unique story. Also, if I see that little small block Nova pulling up next to one of my old cars at a light I think I will just mind my own business!

Saturday morning, Mark M (LateBrakeU2) and I made our way down to Orange County to the Cars &amp; Coffee cruise. After checking out the incredible variety of machines we made our way over to Joe C. and his original SS Nova. Many of you have read the story of this original owner '69 SS 350 Nova purchased at Harry Mann Chevrolet in Los Angeles and seen this Nova depicted in the photos and text in several posts on this site and may have possibly seen the story in Hemming's. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif

We talked and made some new friends while Joe showed Mark the pictures and documentation for his sweet Cortez Silver Bullet and then it happened.......Joe: You guys want to go for a ride? As I shoehorned myself into the front seat and Mark was just about bent in half in the back, Joe fired the little Nasty Nova up. We idled through the parking lot lined with people checking this car out and as we pulled onto the street there was a sign that said...No Burnouts! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Being a gentleman, Joe cruised normally around the corner and I could feel how tight and smooth the drive train was, very impressive. As we were driving I noticed how clean the interior was, the headliner, dash and seats had virtually no wear on them and this stuff was original to the car. As Joe continued to run thru the gears and then accelerate up the freeway on ramp both Mark and I had huge smiles on our faces as our senses were full of high revving, tire smoking small block and neck snapping horsepower.
