Why don't you post the "Paperwork that you have regarding the Nickey Conversion status, of this car. It would go a long way to helping you sell the car?

An NICB could only help confirm the Dealer Which had this Camaro delivered, from GM.

An NICB report was run on this Camaro (I do not have access) and the Delivered to dealership and date was BLANK.

If you would like to discuss the "facts" about your car, this is a great place to do. Many Super Cars have been bought and sold with info and the help, of the membership on this site.

NCIB reports are real and I've had them run in the past. Seems impossible to do any longer, but the information was helpful as far as dealer and zone along with date of delivery and weight of the car.

NICB reports are absolutely real. There is no doubt about it. Here is mine. It is literally like a crap shoot though. Some cars are not in it for whatever reason. Some are listed but just have a dealer code instead of all the info like the one I am posting. Don't bother asking me who ran it because they have since retired and are now living in Alaska. I am serious.

The NICB records were more easily available in years past, than they are today. With recent, more stringent privacy laws, NICB now requires a law enforcement case number to link to the request.

The shipping records came from the auto manufacturers' assembly plant records and they are far from complete. Some plants never sent their records, some lost the records.

An example of a case I saw an NICB printout for was when a fourth, "1 of 3" 1970 hemi Roadrunner ragtops popped up for sale and some local law enforcement people were very suspicious. A check of that VIN in the NICB database revealed that it was originally a 383 car that someone created a new VIN plate for and put in the hemi engine code. It confirmed that the VIN RM27R0XXXXXX didn't exist, but the exact same numerical VIN RM27N0XXXXXX did.

The NICB data will show only three things: 1) The VIN, 2) the date of shipment and 3) the destination dealer code.

It will also show if the car has been stolen. I had given my VIN to someone that had access to the NICB a few years ago and although he never got all the information while he was checking on my car he did confirm what I allready knew but had not told him.... That my car had been stolen and recovered. I don't know where he got the information and why I didn't get a full rundown of the available information on my car but he did tell me about the theft and that the car had resided in the carolinas at some point. I don't know wheather he meant the car was sold new in the carolinas or if he had access to other information about it just being owned there at sometime. He had to get back to real work and never finished up on my 68.

Correct. That is a different search that NICB can do, for any insurance claims ever made against a particular VIN. That is the main purpose of the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), as a clearinghouse of claims records and to help deter future insurance fraud.

The National Insurance Crime Bureau was established 100 or so years ago as the National Automobile Theft Bureau. Their data base is never purged and therefore have decades of available information. The access to this info is limited to insurance companies licensed in the United States, car rental companies, car auctions and car finance companies. Access to these NICB records is governed by parameters that are established by the FBI and NICB by-laws.

However there is a public VINCheck whereby the inquiry will respond with an indication that the vehicle has been reported as stolen, flood damaged, declared a total loss or nothing found.

this has the ULTRA RARE 69 only DUAL switch bezel, power top AND rear window defogger, I have only seen ONE before this one and I took it off a junkyard car sometime in the mid 70's, it was then added to a 396 Z11 we owned that went to San Francisco's Mike Marsh

I would like to place all my paper work on line but my guess is even this won't help, Whether the car is real or not will always be a debate and Slamming me sounds like a past time. I have reason to believe it is real, if some one else doesn’t that is OK
Maybe I am wrong but it sounds like No one wants it to be real.
I didn't put the car together, I just Love Camaros and I have had numerous Camaros for the last 30 years I am 48. I didn't know there were so many experts or Haters.
I told the BC, Canada boy chevkrazy I would pay his way out and he can do a certification is that fair he is the expert???

At some point soon I will put everything on the web for everyone to agree or disagree!!

Here is a summery of the three Documents I was sent COPIES of.

1) A Nickey Catalogue addressed to Bianchi.

2) A tire receipt in Bianchi's Name.

3) A type written Letter from the second owner to the third Stating that this was indeed a Nickey Conversion. It was not signed, nor was it Notarized.

I for one would be very happy to help you verify that this is indeed the car you say it is.

Those were extremely rude messages, not to mention childish. I have seen cars that people thought were clones that turned out to be real and vise versa many times. It looks like the car was played with in the 80's due to the cassette player in the dash. It is possible that items were changed and things were fluffed that now make the car look less authentic. Why don't you make yourself known here? I must warn you, I don't think you will be welcomed as a hero for the site. Part of this hobby is education and it is a two way road. Rob came to this site and signed up to tell everyone he is the owner. What a way to welcome him. Thanks for pulling the site down to your level.

We are all fellow car enthusiasts. I consider us to belong to some sort of informal fraternal order. We can speak and understand a dialogue that most cannot appreciate nor comprehend.

Mutual banter between fellow car guys is fine and sometimes fun, but personal attacks is unacceptable.

Anyhow, looks like the ol' 69 427 is making a strong comeback. Its getting into the serious money range...beyond what you would expect for some clone...

Aside from the various opinions, I'm sure we all agree that it a cool looking car and most likely a complete blast to drive.
