Re: Green LS6 progress
The car is back home and waits for me to install everything I need under the hood. Soon as that's done, we'll hang and align the front clip.

Re: Green LS6 progress
Thanks for the positive comments. The guys at Nostalgic really worked with this car to get it right and it really shows.
Far as having too many cars, my wife might agree with you, but she has a hand in some of the purchases over the years, so we're having fun. I'd love to have more. Part of the addiction/affliction. I updated my profile to show the new 555CI engine put in the drag car. First outing 2 weeks ago, footbraking it went 9.54 @ 138mph. We're going to DaGrove this Saturday for some fine tuning and a few runs on the transbrake. Hopes are for some real low 9's @ near 150mph. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...dragcar010.jpg |

Most of the money and effort has been diverted to a different car. Should be near done with that one soon. As bought and currently. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...t427435010.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e43/Rixls6/090.jpg |

Re: Green LS6 progress
So, just a little over 4 years, and I've taken this car off the back burner temporarily.
Maybe with my helper we can knock this car out. Anyway, I pulled the back seat out to re-clean it outside, and found the 9th buildsheet that this car had. 3 of them were for the 3 previous cars on the assembly line. I'm going to leave it in the seat though. I thought 8 was a lot before. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...1-dsc_0084.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...2-dsc_0085.jpg https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/pics...3-dsc_0086.jpg |
Re: Green LS6 progress
And some cars got none:-)
Lucky!! We're the other three cars SS or Malibu? Ryan |
Re: Green LS6 progress
I think the most I have ever found was 5 or 6, can't remember. Someone once said how many sheets were printed but I do not remember. Glad to see it is back being worked on as you were so close to having it done.

Re: Green LS6 progress
i found 25 in a car once..they where in a bundle, kinda folded in half,,, and under the rear carpet on the drivers side..in a 70 malibu 4 speed...all sequential and the one for the car was near the end of the sequence..no doubles 25 diff cars....my buddy bought the car and we where putting carpet in the car...we looked them over..was amazed and plopped them right in the trash,,,no big deal then, and that was about 97ish i guess...nothing real special in the group but there was 1 LS5 coupe, auto loaded even an am 8-track,,they where just scrap paper to us,,funny we even threw the one belonging to his car in the trash too..it just didnt matter to us at the time...
i imagine they where collected and supposed to end up in the dumpster..instead of on the back floor of a car.. |
Re: Green LS6 progress
Very cool!!!

Re: Green LS6 progress
