Laminating it would actually be permanent... it would melt the plastic to the build sheet or adhesive it to the build sheet...

Quite correct! The plastic melts into the upper layers of the document.

If you remember being 17 and trying to take your driver's license out of the lamination to change the date so you looked older, you will know what I mean.

Nowadays all of us are trying to alter them to look younger. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

You are correct, I tried to take a laminated document apart and does not work, you will destroy the document.

My 68 GTO build sheet was in the floor (of the car) and was in a bunch of pieces and half destroyed...
I used archival illustration board and an archival glue and pieced it back together as best as possible... http://www.crossroadspaper.com/GTO%2...heet%20all.jpg

The 2 I found in the Lemans parts car I bought were perfect... of course! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif

All my paper is in pretty good shape. I scanned and saved it all into my comp, then printed them out for use while keeping the originals in a safe place.

POPs will scan pretty well also.
