Re: 1966 Nova SS L-79 350 H.P.
About 10 years ago I worked with a fella that was a master mechanic at a Chevrolet dealer here in St. Louis back in the sixties. He was full of great stories. He told me if A/C was a deciding factor in a potential customer buying a car, that two dealer mechanics could install that under-the-dash A/C unit in only 45 minutes. He also told me that the demand for 409 cars was so great in the early 60's that the dealer was actually installing 409's into brand new 6-cylinder cars. I suppose if one of these cars would surface with paperwork, it could actually be called a supercar. Neat stories.

Re: 1966 Nova SS L-79 350 H.P.
Actually. I think that is my old car https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif. It was the National Nostalgia raffle car in '95 won by a guy in Kamloops B.C. It ended up in Gig Harbor where I purchased it from a friend of mine. The engine code for an a/c L79 is ZJ instead of ZI(if my memory still works). I think if you search back in the members rides you will find this car. It is one car I wish I had not sold https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif. I sold it to buy the Goodguys Street Machine of the Year '67 Nova. Jim
