Re: Whould Canda be any better
But will it be better 5 years from now? Sad to say but 20 years down the road we may be referring to this era as 'the good ol days'. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif

Re: Whould Canda be any better
Last year Toronto has something like 84 murders. Take the drug dealers killing each other out of the equation and things are pretty good for a city of 3+ million people. Health care here in 2006 cost slightly less than $3200 per person. Not exactly cheap, but everyone is covered at least. Where we live, north-east of Toronto, we don't get buried in lake effect snow, and we are far enough south that the winters aren't too bad. Most winter days here are in the mid to high 20s F but for the last couple of days it has been in the low 50s. Not to hard to take. Five months of winter gives you time for the car projects for next year. The only draw back to living here is that we are 500-800 miles away from many of the big Chevelle shows. Feel free to join us. I'm not going anywhere. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

Just today on CNN they are saying gas prices will be 4.50 a gal by May of 08 but no one knows why I am so sick of this The worst part is That I am on Disability with a fixed income My wife was laid off last May of 07 she still has not be able to find a job The main problem is her age once you hit 50 no one will take you My other problem is she has type 2 diabetes and I have tried to get medical insurance for her but keep getting turned down because of her Diabetes she has not been on any of her meds since May This really sucks there has to be a better way [/ QUOTE ] Well you won't be getting gas any cheaper up here I'm afraid but you should for the heck of it, call a drugstore up here to compare your wife's drug costs. |

Re: Whould Canda be any better
That slogan was from the days when America was 'For the people, by the people'. Now it's for the corporations, by the corporations.

Re: Whould Canda be any better
I'm not going anywhere. I love the country but I AM fed up with our self-serving politicians.

Re: Whould Canda be any better
There's lots of jobs going begging here in Alberta. Lots of car related events here too.
