one of my high school buddies neighbor was a salesman at Byers GMC truck dealership in columbus. he had a sprint as a demo, i think it was a 454 auto?(it was a big block) it was the first and maybe the only one i have ever seen in person. he also had a sweet 69 GTX 4 speed, which would wet your pants. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif dennis

They are rare, but I don't know exactly how rare. I am not even sure I've ever seen a '71 454 Sprint. I know I viewed a '72 one time, but not a '71.

Seeing Sprint with any engine configuration is rare enough, but one with the 454 engine is near unheard of. I would say that his price is in-line.

I think they made around 250 or so, but the number of 454s is not known.

If it's running and driving, that's sounds like a good price. A non-running, but original numbers and rusty '71 SS454 ZL2 TH400 ElCo recently sold in my area for $2500.
