Re: original show car zl1
I thought those pictures were of a recreation of the black and gold ZL1.

Re: original show car zl1
Both cars in the photos have recently manufactured BFG radial T/As on them. So either that's the recreation car or....the original car has just resurfaced and is riding on new radials. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smirk.gif

Re: original show car zl1
It's a recreation car, but sure looks great.

Re: original show car zl1
If you look closely at the pic in front of Chevy's HQ at the GM Tech Ctr, you might notice that the car has an Ohio tag on the front.
This car was built to the COPO specs from an SS car, and has been around for over 10 years now. |
Re: original show car zl1
Notice that the background is in front of the Chevrolet bldg. on the GM tech center. The pond or lake behind the car is empty. This is fairly a recent pic. The pond/lake has been dismantled and filled and is all grass now.(I work there.)

Yup, those are pics of Al's car. I saw it in town a few years ago, haven't seen him or the car since.

Andy & Kurt,
I'm still trying to find Al Wallace regarding this car. I've come up dry. Anybody know how I can get in touch with him? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif Nuch |
