What year was the GS Corvette ad from. The 15 s newtown st address was Penske's first race shop in Newtown Sq. , Pa. I believe he moved to the larger winding way location (also in newtown Sq.)in 1966 or early 67.

GS ad definitely came from a '66 or '67 HRM but they're already back in the stack so I'm not exactly sure.

("Definitely but not exactly" came from my pre-law class in college...)

Went to one of Doc Swigarts auctions about a month ago. Lots of wind up toys and misc. collectable stuff, no 32 Ford though.

Re: 1960s Classified Ads

More famous car people's cars for sale.

Another Roth car, this time the Outlaw, being sold off to help pay Big Daddy's bills. Car now resides in the Peterson Museum.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...RothOutlaw.jpg

The famous Barris "Kopper Kart" painted by Larry Watson and Junior Conway while they worked for Barris. I think the Kart was lost in the Barris shop fire but it may have survived.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...rrisKopper.jpg

Pinstriper and Monkeemobile builder Dean Jeffries' custom Porsche.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...riesPorsch.jpg

I think it's spelled Hedrich and I think he wrote for Hot Rod back in the day.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ichDragger.jpg

Another Vette custom.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ustomVette.jpg

How'bout a slammed and leaded Merc?

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...Merccustom.jpg

Rare early Healey with a Corvette engine added for more oomph.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...s/53Healey.jpg

Custom Olds hardtop.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...OldsCustom.jpg

I always liked the '39-'40 Studes.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ds/39Stude.jpg

Finally, another cheap Deuce coupe street machine.

Re: 1960s Classified Ads

I am a Yenko Stinger collector, but I also own the Roadster Pickup that was in the movie "The Lively Set" show in the ad at the bottom of your second page. Can you tell me what issue of HRM the ad was in? I would like to find a copy for my records.
Thanks, Jeff Moore
