Mulholland Auto Restoration of Buena, NJ did the work. I do not have a current phone number for them.

Well, I am no expert on Chebbie stamps, especially in this crowd. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif To the best of my knowledge, no this is not a restamp. The gentleman who owned the car when it was restored said the numbers on the are original. I've had an independant 3rd party look at the photos as well. I have no reason to call either of them a liar. If you want the car to be more correct you could remove the paint from the engine pad and at the same time it would be much easier for people to confirm orig stamping.

Thanks. Unfortunately, no "expert" or "third party" could call an engine stamping based on those pics due to the orange paint. I also asked if it was a restamp because your ad doesn't state that this is the original engine.

Anyone other than the original owner declaring this or ANY motor as original is speculation at best in my mind. Look no further than a quick google search to find some "service" willing to "grain" (recreate factory broach marks after a block has been trued) and restamp your motor for you.
