Yuk! |
Re: motion camaro super speedster
Harsh opinion following, do not read if you are offended by the truth.....This car is butt ugly. These cars are a stab at the stame market as (fake Shelby) Elenor (puke choke gasp, oh, my eyes...,) cars appeal to. Stupid people with a shortage of taste and too much money. Luckily, purchasers of these cars will lose money on them so that is some consolation. I wouldn't give 9700.00 for that car. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif

Re: motion camaro super speedster
I think it is a cool car that just misses a bit on styling. I would pay 100K for it right now .. but that would be it. I can't say I beleive the 500k+ bid. Looks like an old T-bird convertible from the top of the rear deck to the seats... and a speedster is a Porsche. Just doesn't sound right refering to a Camaro as a "Speedster"

Re: motion camaro super speedster
Why doesn't Motion just redo 1969 and 70 Camaros with vintage speed parts and sell them as "continuation cars" like Shelby did with his new series of old cars.
That would be neat! |
Re: motion camaro super speedster
I can't blame Joel Rosen for wanting to cash in on the Motion legend but it's difficult if not impossible to catch lightning in bottle once, let alone twice. Maybe if the cars looked just like the originals, with 15" five-spokes and Mark IV 427s, etc., they'd have something special--and more importantly, nostalgic. These new cars do not in any way evoke nostalgia the way the originals do and these new cars are horrendously overpriced. Any blue-collar guy could buy a B-M conversion car in 1969 but you have to be rich to buy one of these new ones. Nice try but 1969 only happened once.

That "motion" car looks "Goofy" https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif
....I would think that this car would be the one to buy https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif http://www.nickeychicago.net/vehicle.php?id=113 https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif |
Re: motion camaro super speedster
Thanks John,
I like ours better also, but I am biased. We Sold the Nickey ZL1 Continuation Series Camaro OO1 to a Collector in Ontario Canada. We are taking orders for more. In fact, you can spec out your Nickey just like back in the 1960s and '70s, at the fall Chevy Vette Fest (Video taped and all) with Don Swiatek, just like you would have done back in the day. |
Re: motion camaro super speedster
Is Fugly a word? If it is then in the Westber, you would see a Picture of That.

Re: motion camaro super speedster
Pro Touring "copies" of these cars are just boring. Not a HINT of original interior. At least the copies of the Hemi Darts have factory interiors.... they just have big stupid rims instead.

Re: motion camaro super speedster
"1969 only happened once". Quite beautifully said, 427TJ. That about sums it up as well as anything I've ever heard. Those cars that were built back then were for the working man on a working man's budget. These new monstrosities are just terrible-looking trinkets for millionaires with more money than sense. Emblems don't make the car. An ugly woman with expensive jewelry is still an ugly woman. Yeah, those new Hemi Darts also look terrible unfortunately.
