Re: Possible Yenko Camaro Convertible Found??????
Thanks. I would think that would make it even less likely. One could think that just maybe Yenko was talked into doing a '67 or '68 conversion car, but, a '69 COPO car?? Have you checked to see if it's the same one bashton talked about?

Re: Possible Yenko Camaro Convertible Found??????
Vodoo, you need to get that paper documented/authenticated by someone on this board. people now days create bogus documentation to try and fool unsuspecting/uneducated buyers. there are plenty of people on this board with great Yenko knowledge. dropping 600K on anything you better have 100% clarity that this is the real deal. chevrolets seem to be the easiest car to fake/clone, so be very carefull.
as far as your negotiations with the owner how have you come apon a price of more than 600K when he hasnt even shown you the car yet? also, what does this mean? "He will not sell car, I am in ???? on how to deal with guy." |

Re: Possible Yenko Camaro Convertible Found??????
These comments certainly may not have the impact the above pics Chris just posted do but I'd expect the chances are better that the discussed car may be a Motion or other conversion or as mentioned earlier if a Yenko it being a '67 or '68 427 conversion car more than any possibilities of a '69 factory 427 ragtop..
Although the closest thing ever produced by the factory may be the known '69 Copo coupe w/ the ragtop Vin, keep in mind when a '69 comes up we all just naturally expect it would have to be a factory built car...but shouldn't we at least admit there's a chance Yenko did an L72 conversion on a ragtop since he couldn't get one factory built?. If a customer was waving the dough, why not...the factory not offering what a customer was willing to pay for sure didn't stop him in the preceeding two years?. If it does happen to turn out to be a conversion on a '69 by Yenko, real paperwork, one off ragtop and all, the value is also important of when the conversion was done.. Remember that '69 coupe Yenko ZL1 converted in later years on a customer car using one of his own casting aluminum blocks (a red car wasn't it and one of the later 'crest style' blocks?).. The seller had the paperwork and all but I don't think anyone came near to what the guy wanted nor was it worth anywhere close to the value of a factory ZL1.. All I'm trying to say is never say never...even if you're not buying Vodoo and the owner isn't selling, if you check further into it we'd all sure like to know what the result is!. ~ Pete https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
Re: Possible Yenko Camaro Convertible Found??????
Why don't you just buy a yenko at half the price and chop the top off, then you know its a real yenko!!!, just think of all the friends you would have here, being that you have the only one https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/shocked.gif
