Not trying to stir anything up, but can this really be considered an "untouched original car" if the motor and tranny are out, and its had a repaint?

Sure you are!
I don't like when threads get reduced to semantics, but to me I am thrilled when I see a car that has not been cut up. "Untouched" to me means the body has not been worked, the drivetrain and acessories are all there. Sorry for the confusion.

Great find there.... Have you checked the front door panels yet for more sheets??? I know of two in the area that had them glued to the drivers door panel and we cut the panel and laminted it still attached to the backing board... Ted https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Great story, I posted in Members Rides how Chris P. found the build sheet in the low mile '66 L78 Chevelle that he bought. The original paperwork was lost in a tragic house fire and only copies existed, but a build sheet was found under the carpet. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

Nice find!-that had to be the only time in the history of ebay that someone claimed there might be a sheet "but haven't looked yet" and wasn't BSing! Congrats on the find.
Is that a PCV hose clip mounted on the rear of Dual Snorkle air cleaner?
Also is it still holding the under headlight moulding possibly?
That looks like the original design hood for a February assembled LS-6 someone,but someone installed Hoodpins & cables after delivery later on.
Who was the original selling dealer?
