Re: M loaded for bear
I'm not sure if they build a system for the corvair, but they would probably give it a try.
As for HP gains, each car is different and the folks at Pypes are wise enough not to make promises - but rather focus on their quality and technology. For example, their systems don't give that annoying resonance like the others, nor do they sound like the tinny shotgun-in-a-can. The system is engineered to fit nice and snug so that it can't be seen from the side (see the last pic in my link) and the tips look factory stock - one of the main selling points for me. When the weather breaks, I will visit my local track to check out the performance gains! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif |

Re: M loaded for bear
-------Exhaust looks great, Marlin. Congratulations!!! It sort of looked like you were drifting towards that trailer at the end of the parking lot while doing that CQQL burnout. Did you have to shut off a bit soon???........Bill S

Marlin,
Wow!.....how nice of you to let the installer...make some home made video`s.....Hey, bring that guy along with you to SCR10...looks like he drives it a little better than you do https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif Perhaps with him behind the wheel...you may even win the darn thing this year. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif The new system looks great! Marlin, Neat car... man its clean! Do you ever get worried pushing her to the limit while maintaining its restoration/originality? -Dan [/ QUOTE ] Well, I am always conscience about hurting something, and therefore I don't push it to the 'limit'. A little burnout here and there shouldn't hurt anything. Not to mention, when you've restored your own car, having to fix a thing or two once in a while is nothing compared to the 5-6 year resto! I finally found the correct part number and date coded fuel pump after a 6 year search - it leaked https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/frown.gif So, off it came. Little things like fuel pumps, installing the GM blueprint cam etc... just goes with the ownership! As for the drift during the burnout, I steered to the left to avoid some water up ahead. My deuce does very straight burnouts, and I never go farther than first gear - no need for an embarrassing 'powerslide' like that Z28 at SCR9 https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/rolleyes.gif I'm anxious to get to the track this spring to see how it runs down the 1/4. I guess Dan and I will need to square off at SCRX with one of his concourse COPO Chevelles https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif Make sure it's a 4hitter too! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/burnout.gif |
