Steve, Hard to tell from the angle, but I believe the first piston image is an L/78 or L/72 piston. OD will tell you for sure. Steve [/ QUOTE ] I just googled the part number and they are 396: 1965 to 1969 closed chamber forged pistons 10.6 to 1 with 109 cc heads. Dont know what the rods are though. |
Re: More amazing attic finds from the old speed shop!
I seem to be getting inundated with questions about the tach sender unit. I assume this may have been something Yenko used at the dealership? it's rather hard to read but the part number on the box looks like D990-A. Well, here are some more photos for the inquiring minds:

Man, those wheels look like they have trim rings! I had a set of those 200S wheels and I still can't imagine them looking like that. Nice finds.

Re: More amazing attic finds from the old speed shop!
There is no comparison: the wheels on my Charger are the same age (actually Dec 1970 dated) and they look almost like a satin finish on the outer area of the rim compared to the original "out of the box" polished finish. The inner spokes even look like a different color even though they are natural aluminum. Must be all that New Jersey atmosphere they were exposed to all these years. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Re: More amazing attic finds from the old speed shop!
That's what I was thinking but now I have to find another 2! There were still a few sets of American Racing Vectors (the wheels used on the General Lee) in GM and Mopar sizes up in the attic. There were also a set or two of aluminum slotted mags from Superior or Appliance maybe?
Hey Darren are those 14 or 15 inch? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif |
