"Isn't there an original 20k mile 69 L78 Camaro for sale on this site for about half the dollars being tossed around on this thread?"

Not taking anything away from Paul's car but the silver car being discussed is not even in the same league, never even dealer prepped... never spent a night outside...
Not even close to the same caliber of car from what is being disclosed as far as condition goes.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something? What exactly does "dealer prepped" mean? And how does a car that hasn't been "dealer prepped" see over 10k miles on the road? In that many miles its obviously spent some time outside. We've seen a few cars that have only been on the track, never registered or on the road - and they can look worse than one that's had more careful miles on the road. I think it mostly depends on the way the car presents itself today. Yes we know Paul reunited his car with some original components... but do we know what this non-dealer prepped car has been through? There's usually a good reason why a car is not driven... in my experience, something major has often been broken so it sits.

Yeah I think the silver car has potential to be a neat time capsule, but maybe I'm just skeptical that its not going to present itself as being that much more original than Paul's car.

Hello Rich, glad all is going well with the 70 Z. I would like to see photos. Thats one car I've had sellers remorse with. In regards to the 69 L78 what I meant with dealer prepped is that he got the car off the transport truck at the dealer and they never removed the shipping plastic and paper from the car. He has all that. The car has been outside and driven, street raced, etc. but was always garaged. It has sat and been started and driven barely for about 15 years. I'm not trying to say who's car is better I was looking for a figure to offer on the car that was all. He's between selling and not right now. Nothings changed or damaged. Thanks for the help. Larry.
