Pretty sure the original is 11/32" id, as well as being a bit larger OD than a 3/8 fuel line.

This is in reference to the ribbed PCV hose. DocRebuild
"Ours was & still is the most accurate replica down to the manufacturers identification pattern on the surface as well as the ID, OD, wall thickness & original material specification for exposure to high temperature organic gases. It's just another quality DocRebuild USA manufactured hose that matches all the OEM specifications with no tell tale noxious odor as found in uncured imported parts." "1966-1970 Corvette 23" O.L. Formed PCV Hose with Ribs Repro Of GM 3871298 or 3868834 or 3901839" I don't know what the part number for what the 302's hose is to make a comparison. |
My guess is it is the same hose as an L78, as the Holley carb has the same connection point and the PCV is in pretty close to the same location, so the 3871298 looks correct:

Went ahead and ordered the ribbed 23" PCV hose part #1745800 from DocRebuild today. I can provide pics if anyone needs to look at this item when it's delivered.
Thanks for everyone's help. I'm guessing it was the owner who I was e-mailing back and forth on the site. He dots his I's and crosses his T's to say the least, very enthusiastic and a no nonsense kind of guy. |
I've wandered through Junkyards for 40 years, cars that were crashed back in the day and salvaged by the Police impound. I had collected a 1000 check valves along with portions of those hoses.
Many different vendors were used to produce those hoses for GM, and most were not originally ribbed, The Corvettes are different, because usually only one vendor supplied that one production line. Out of a sample of 100 PVC hoses , I would say only 3 were ribbed. I did not find Corvettes in these yards, and I remember all the ribbed hoses came off of Cadillacs. So in my opinion - Non ribbed PCV hoses are the ones most commonly used on the GM regular production cars and trucks. |

Thanks for the info. I ordered your heater hoses a few nights ago, and only saw the smooth PCV hose on your web page when I was looking, which I already have. I bought mine from Ricks before it way became Eklers, around 1999 or 2000. Not sure if that one is correct or the ribbed one is. There is a lot of different/conflicting info from the many sites, Camaros.net, CRG, and this site, etc. that I have been reading. Still plenty to learn. |

I bought the PCV hose offered by Doc Rebuild and it came in today. This is their part number 1745800 and after laying it out next to the one I have installed it's appears to be the correct length. It seems I had to do a song and dance for this guy to actually buy it. After reading what I found on-line I'm surprised this guy is still in business. If you need any other views just let me know.
