Re: Website feedback needed please
I like it,looks very well thought out.
How about offering monthly website coupons like: "Mention customer code CHARLEY and get $20.00 off the reanodzing process" https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif |

Y'all have been VERY good to me over the years, and rest assured that won't be forgotten. Darn good bunch of people `round these parts. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif Eric |
Re: Website feedback needed please
Dang, that looks good. Love the detailed walk-through.
I mentioned to my wife that the first customer testimonial is from Chuck. She commented "If he can please Chuck, he must be good". From the mouth of babes, eh? On a technical note, is there any reason you can't run the carbs (i.e. with fuel) after a rebuild? I received a rebuilt carb once (not yours) that had a pin hole in the float -- it wasn't until the day after I fired it up that the float had sunk to the bottom of the bowl and cranking caused 110 octane fuel to spew out the air horn over my newly plated carb and reskinned intake. Then, to really salt the wound, the carb rebuilder is also the judge and I get dinged for discoloration of the carb. Aaargh! |
Re: Website feedback needed please
Denis;
Thanks. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif Chuck's a great guy and a great customer as well. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif I used to live test carbs before sending them out but I've always been bothered by the fact that sometimes these carbs would sit for weeks, months, or longer before going into service again. Problem is once they've had fuel ran through them it's impossible to get them 100% dry again so the fuel remnants don't turn into varnish and the pumps, power valves, etc. don't harden up. As such I stopped running them live. I do bench test everything now though. As far as float pinholes, they likely wouldn't show up even if I still live-tested them since they only run for a few minutes. The carb would have to sit full of fuel for a while before the float would start to sink (unless it was a really bad hole which would likely be noticed during assembly anyways). Obviously I stand behind my work, and if there's ever any problems I'll do whatever it takes to take care of it. Eric |

As a side-note... I do have one thing planned for the website, but I can't go into too much detail just yet. All I can say for now is it has to do with what should be a rather interesting engine build-up. We'll know for sure when it comes off the dyno. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif And that's all I've got to say `bout that. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif Eric [/ QUOTE ] Hmmm...I wonder if I know anything about what he's talking about??? Not that I'd ever tell... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif BTW, Eric...I got the package last Friday! All is well...Thanks again! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
Re: Website feedback needed please
Absolutly a great web site Eric! I found it to be very informitive and shows first hand the kind of quality work you do. I'd love to have my carb re-plated some day, and when that day comes, rest assured you're my guy! Great web site, I wouldn't change a thing!!

Re: Website feedback needed please
Eric,
one more thing you might bump your text size up maybe a little for old farts like me to read easier, its just a little tough with the busy background, other than that looks good. |
Re: Website feedback needed please
Bud;
Assuming you're referring to the "FAQ" section of the front page? I'll bump that up tomorrow. Eric |
