Looks like ebay people have been reading Team Chevelle.
thats twice now that a 69 that is for sale has used the L on the cowl tag statement.
the other one was the dealer from New Jersey.

Yes Mike, looks like a fine example. That car went across the block at Mecum this spring. I believe it was bid into the $80's but did not meet reserve.

Re: L78 post Chevelles

Why would a 1969 model year car have ST 68 on the cowl plate? Were all of the post 396/375 cars late 1968 cars? Does this mean that the cowl tag said the car was 1968 model and the window sticker or title said 1969? I am confused about this.... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/confused.gif

Andy, that's one of those "typing" mistakes I mentioned earlier.

Oh, okay, well that clarified that. I didn't think that chevrolet would be that bad off in their model year clarification.https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif

Re: L78 post Chevelles

The orange L78 belongs to me, and I am asking $130K, but would consider a true serious offer. If anyone has any questions about the car let me know. My number is 870-926-2018. I have tried to get the car in the best shape I can, without doing a fresh frame-off restoration. Don, It was nice to meet you earlier this year at the auction. It is always great to meet someone who is knowledgable about these cars, and is welling to answer questions. Thanks, Charles Lumpkin

Charles, I think you might have me confused with Dan Vasic who I believe was at that auction. But that's OK, I taught Dan everything he knows about the 69 300 SS Post Cars https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

Don, You are right. It was Dan that I meet at the auction. He is a very nice guy. Maybe we will meet at some event. It is always good to meet new knowledgable people.
Thanks, Charles
