Wilma, we would either use air shocks OR shackles - we never needed both. From what I remember,you should be able to clear L60's with air shocks alone, so check and make sure they are functioning properly and are the right shocks for your application. Personally, I never liked the look of shackles on a street car...

I kinda think you are right...tomorrow I will fire up the compressor and get the air pumped up in those shocks...hope they don't blow up!

Do you have the "H" block extensiom on top of the air shocks? They add about 4 more inches. With those you shouldn't need the shackle extensions.

Checked them out in the Jegs catalog..Mr. Gasket makes them but they say "not for air shocks"...????

Well, I've had a set on my yellow deuce with air shocks since 71. I see no real reason why you couldn't unless you were useing a high jacker shock. That might get a little severe. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

unless you want the look of shackles, why not pull your springs off and have them rearched by a local shop, check out 4x4 or heavy equipment repair shops, most will build you a set of springs or rearch yours. i bought a set of repro 5 leaf springs and had to get them dearched to get the car out of the air.
