Re: "Sweating" heater hoses???

Thanks guys! The previous owner of my car was in his 70's and has done no engine detailing that I can see, so I don't think it is rubber treatment in my case.

Just ordered up a nice set of Diamond Back red lines for her too Sam so I can get it out once or twice a year https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

I have a feeling that old spaghetti bender ain't going to need a shoe in his place https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif Zedder...depending on the size you get I found the tread pattern is kind of funky looking . The wider 60 series stuff have a high speed type tread...takes a little getting used to..

Yeah, I know what you mean Belair...I prefer the look of the bias ply repops, but I want to drive the car a good bit this summer and want it to handle and ride well. I got the Firestone Supreme SI red lines in the 205/75-15 size. A couple of friends have them on their '67's and they seem to look and fit the best.

Re: "Sweating" heater hoses???

I don't think it has anything to do with anything other than inferior rubber products. My heater hoses are supplied from the original manufacturer, but my radiator hoses were NAPA, and they were constantly covered with the slime. I NEVER covered ANY rubber in my car with that silicone shinny slimy stuff like Armor-All, or any other product that contained silicone!!! It's simply antifreeze that's leeching through the rubber.
Find a better supplier...............or nos. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
