I think some of these folks have busted their balls and made something for themselves and can now buy whatever the hell they want because they couldn't when they were younger. Not all of these guys want to work on cars..BJ is a supermarket for people who can see/buy whatever car they love....they didn't make their fortune by being stupid and buying stuff like old cars...why would they be stupid now ? They just want cool cars in their garage and are lucky enough to pay whatever they feel like paying. I wish I could go there and do it...there wouldn't be any cars there to buy because i would have them all...would you rather go to a restoration shop and get layed away and hear excuse after excuse and pay thru the ass or go and buy one done and pay a premium ? Some like to restore them...some want a done car. I've done it both ways...restoring a car is idiotically expensive now so sometimes a done car is the smarter purchase. Just a different way of being a "car guy" or "hobbyist". https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

When the answer to the question of "How much will you bid?" is "It doesn't matter" ala Ferarri Hat guy, the whole concept of market value reflected by sale prices becomes meaningless.

Keith,
Keep it for your Estate...they'll love you for your planning ahead! That's what I'm doing. As for my 2 cents...I saw alot of people pay ALOT of money for cars that I would have NEVER thought would go that high (ie: Firdbird Convertible) I think Craig Jackson, who is just a car salesman, when you think about it, creates the emotions for these folks to go wack-o when the "lights are on" NO QUESTION.......not prime-time sales were some decent deals.
i would never buy there.....BUT sure as hell ship my car to Scottsdale from Jersey to sell there!
It was quite an event. Check out me and the guy from "Pinks" bullshitting about his show!
