WOW ! If you still had the Offy Cross Ram, I know of someone who is looking for that. AMC Cross Rams are not very plentiful.
Drop a Cross Ram and Dual 4's on a 390 or 401 and WOW ! Could they move, they are virtualy the same motor. Even with the stock 4 barrel they go, They were nicknamed "The Flying Brick".
As a Matter of Fact the 304, 360, 390 and 401 were all the same basic block. A little diff in Bore or Stroke and Voila. Because the Machines had more space and could utilize a few special parts that were Machine only, they had the highest horsepower.

Jeez, just what I wanted to hear!!! j/k https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

I wish I still had the car. 40k, 2 owner, bone stock..Thats why I didn't want the manifold as I remember. Mine was a '69 so it had the flat hood with the fins in the front. (Not a good description but I'm sure you know what I mean.).Anyway, I loved that hood and didn't want to mess with it. Plus all I got was the manifold..no carbs, linkage, etc. Seemed like a good idea to get those wheels for "free" at the time..LOL!

Awesome cars you have, btw!

a # that also floats around on the SC/Hornets is 667. also, the first 100 Donohue's were in the famed Red/White/Blue.

I know, we all have our would have and could haves. Some of the cars and stuff I should have saved. I'm trying to make up for it now.
On Hornet S/C 360, Eddie Stakes of Planet Houston is the authority. He runs the registry and a website.
Overall there were a lot less AMC muscle cars than people think. And a few Sleepers. Like the Alabama State Polices Javelin AMX's from the 70's and Los Angeles Matador Sedans with the Police Package 401's.
Those were some cool cars.

The Biggest ticket AMC right now is the Super Stock AMX, there were only about 50 ever built. Red White and Blue. Cross Ram Dual 4's. Fast cars.

Marlin;

The Mark Donohue edition trans am Javelins are not the same as the TransAm Javelins, these red/white/blue cars came with 390cid engines and used an adjustable rear wing instead of a spoiler( '68, '69 Javelins campaigned in SCCA's TransAmerica sedan class racing used these). The Mark Donohue trans am edition used both 390 and 360 cid engines. However the 360 cid block was special and different in internal construction for use to destroke down to 305 ci limit for racing. Mark Donohue Javelins were built later during the 1970 model year and only this special design block tells you it's a Donohue edition, but if a Donohue Javelin was ordered with a 390 cid, it can't be destinguished from any other Go Pak optioned Javelin that has had a spoiler added.

You hit that on the head,
I recently put together a deal helping out a couple friends, one who needed to sell, and a buyer friend who I knew would apreciate the cars. It was a 3 car deal,
A SS /AMX, a Trans Am Javelin, both with race history, and a Big Bad Green AMX.
He's restoring the Super Stock now, sold the Big Bad car to another friend, and the Trans Am Javelin is in the hands of a very good collector who is going to Vintage Race it and then treat it to a full frame off.
He showed the Trans Am Javelin at the Fairfield County Concours this past year and I belive a Photo is on thier website.

Hi,
I attached a Photo of My Wifes previous AMC, a 1970 Javelin SST 360-4barrel car, Auto, Factory A/C, and Totally Original and Unrestored. It now lives in St Louis I believe.
