Re: sYc to be featured at WOW Pittsburgh Jan 20-22
The Pittsburgh WOW show went very well. Both Friday and Saturday were as packed as I have ever seen them. Sunday was another story. Since the Steelers took care of Denver starting at 3:00 the place didn't have a paying customer from about 1:00 on. We even went to a local sports bar to watch the game. The atmosphere there was electric to say the least. Back to the show, Tommy K's Gibb/Harrell Nova won best restored along with best stock engine, Mark Kickles Yenko that hasn't been to the show in over 12 years won best interior stock. Joe's Dana Nova, Franny's COPO Camaro and Franks 70 Z won awards as well. Caleb's Byrne Bros COPO won the vintage race class. In all 7 cars represented the sYc and that helped us win the club participation award. I want to thank all the guys that gave up there time and weekend for the event. The sYc group was one of the most popular places to be. We made a lot of people very happy to see what neat and rare cars that the sYc members have to share. Its great to hear the stories from the spectators. One gentleman even gave us a rear bowtie he pulled from a 69 Yenko Camaro to put on the Yenko emblems in 1969 when he worked for Yenko.
