I know that Yenko very very well. Watched it evolve into one of the finest cars I have ever seen.
Absolutely gorgeous in person. Rick H. |

YS 8051 is the Yenko Bill Wertheim, Beaumont Bill, had restored recently by Camaro Specialties. It is probably the nicest 68 Yenko in the country.

Re: 68 Yenko YS 8051 Camaro at LMC
Bill posted the following about selling the car on another site.
James Yes, sad to say , but that "was" my Yenko that is now at Legendary Motorcar. While I was restoring it for over five years I certainly never thought I would need to sell it after it was done.Believe me it was gut wrenching having to let it go.I had a business opportunity come about that was too important to my family and my future to let pass. Hopefully I will be taking a small step backward inorder to take a huge step forward later. I am obviously bias, but I believe it to be as nice a yenko as exists. I can't thank the guys at Camaro Specialties enough for the amazing job they did on the car.Bob Harris and the guys proved they are a world class orginization. I also was lucky enough to become friends with Chuck Huber through many talks and lessons and I can't thank him enough. Ofcourse I also met Tim Lopata through my dealings with the Yenko and gained his valuable input as well as friendship. The list could go on and on of the great people the Yenko led me to meet;especially from this website. During the time I showed it this year it won several major awards and I got to spend several family vacations showing it around the country. For now I'll play with the Acadian and wax the Beaumonts and I'll have to admire the supercars from afar. I guess I'll be the guy with the wierd Canadian cars next year at the Forge. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future you'll be calling me Baldwin Motion Bill. Thanks again to anyone that helped me with the car and obviously anyone who is interested in it I will be glad to answer any questions you might have. |
