Are those factory headers?

When I had the car restored I had the whole exhaust system made a tiny bit bigger. It is meant to look stock but make more hp. The MCA judges didn't notice it but the Shelby judges did. That car depleted Jim Cowles' stash of NOS 65 parts and my wallet.

Well, most of Charley's post is true.

I think I more than replenished his wallet when I bought the Shelby https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

Then Stuart replenished mine, and, the beat goes on.... LOL

I agree one of the three or five best 65 GT 350s in existence and it runs and sounds like a stock car!

Plus it's a double digit rear battery car restored by Jim Cowles recognized as the leading restorer of 65 GT 350s in the world. A car can't have a better pedigree than that IMHO.

I am offended by the term "Christmas" used in this thread.

Oh,wait a sec...it's just jealousy.
Sorry...wrong emotion.

The 65 Shelby was overlooked for way too long. The cars have proven the less is more theory, a simple timeless design will usually win out in the end.

May I envy you as well this Christmas Stuart. Great ride!

Thanks guys. I will try and take better pictures and maybe do a Members Ride rotation at some point later.
The motor sounds wonderful. It's in better overall condition than Colin described.

Hey Fred, how is that Red Chevelle doing? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif
