Re: 1970 COPO Z28?

Phil, when you say (the part numbers for the spoiler will show revision #'s on them )what are the differances on these numbers & what do they look like ? as for values like i said it depends how much someone is willing to pay. i paid 60,000 & have been offered 80,000 from someone obviously crazier than i.

"Just to add profound negitivity to the thread."
I didn't think he was adding negativity to the thread at all. If you read the very first post the question was asked "are the COPO Z's any more valuable than the standard Z?" I can see you being offered that kind of money for your car but I believe the amount is based more on the condition of your car rather than the spoiler.

Thanks Charlie,

That follow up to my post was perhaps a little easy for me to take out of context in the heat of the moment. Thank God for Moderators....

It is the same number on the end caps marked left and right
the part number is followed by a REV #. This is how AO Smith designated the early tooling and marked the production changes to the cap molds.

End cap Fitment on the quarters was a big problem which postponed and greatly limited the number of cars built in 70.

Jack Seymour has graciously offered to look at the car for me. If anyone can verify the condition, and options, on this car I'm sure he can. I'll keep everyone posted.

Ouch.... That Hurt.. You should know last year I turned down 6 figures for mine so I guess you could be wrong for at least one car- unless other 70 standard D-80 cars are getting real offers over $100K these days....

[/ QUOTE ]

You're actually admitting to that?
