So what's the story behind the fender emblems? Yenko Crest above the marker lights, but no engine designation?

When the car was repainted in the 70's in Ill. they replaced the frt fenders with nos. While the owner at the time had extensive drawings of the stripe locations he just left them off as sort of a sleeper look. Chose to put the emblems where the 350 normaly would be. That way he didn't have to drill holes either.
Back "in the day" ir wasn't uncomon to change, or leave off motor size emblems.
You remember. You're old like me. Well actually, your older. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

NOS fenders were installed many years ago along with a repaint, note that there is no NOVA emblems on there either. Frankie spoke with the original owner, and there does not appear to be anything different with this deuce when new. So, it most likely had the YENKO crest emblem below the NOVA emblem when new. I will try to attach an old-school pic when it was still in IL - years before it went to FL.

Actually, the original Yenko emblems would have been stick-on, so he wouldnt have had to drill any holes anyhow...Probably just thought the emblems would look cool there, which they do!

Good Lord; is there ANYTHING you guys DON'T know about these cars? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif

OK Marlin, how much air pressure was in the left front tire when that picture was taken? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/tongue.gif (Feel free to consult with Schonye, since it was closer to him in Illinois at the time)

Cool story. Thanks! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/worship.gif

Yeah I remember, but according to you, I probably won't remember much longer. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif All we have to look forward to is to have Gibb and Yenko crests on our rocking chairs soon.
Hey, maybe some BBC powered wheel chairs will be available by then! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif (ZL-1s would be lighter, right? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif)

This deuce was not a 'hulk'!

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, I ment no offense, I stated earlier in the thread that I never saw the car. The florida guy told me on the phone that he thought it was rough enough to maybe need a rebody?? Thats what he said... the hulk remark came from that statement.

It sure did'nt look that bad in the pictures shown in the thread. I would of bought it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
