A '70 Chevelle SS without cowl induction should not have hood pins. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif All Super Sports in '71 and '72 with and without cowl got hood pins...including the Heavy Chevy.

Chuck - my understanding is the single snorkle was the default snorkle set up for the LS6 w/o CI. I recall the dual snorkle in a '70 LS6 or L78 Chevelle is rare.
