Re: Converting non-SMOG to SMOG manifolds

I've had several people PM me about getting BBC exhaust manifolds drilled and tapped for AIR (smog). If anyone else needs this done I would like to do them around the same time if possible or in groups of at least four manifolds. This way we can save set up time on the CNC machine. Pm or email [email protected] Thanks, Kevin

Re: Converting non-SMOG to SMOG manifolds

Kevin,

Please don't take this the wrong way. This is a one way
deal for my manifolds as well as many others here. Is there
any way for us to be sure the SMOG port machining will be
done correcly? I would actually like to opportunity to
talk to the machine shop owner if that could be arranged.
I've been looking for Oct. 68 manifolds for five years and
I don't want anything bad to happen to them. I just want
to be careful and do my up-front research. Can you get me
a phone number? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

Re: Converting non-SMOG to SMOG manifolds

Steve and others wondering what will happen to your manifolds....The machine process will not damage, distort or scratch your valuable exhaust manifolds. They may get wet from the coolant used in a CNC Lathe, but that's all. Your manifolds will look exactly like the factory did it. I have seen this process done and you can't tell if it was done 30 years ago or today. Looks absolutley like GM did it. Your AIR tubes will screw in like original equipment in the exact same spot. CNC (Computer Numeric Control) drills in the exact same spot every time. Threads will be perfectly straight every time. What else can I tell you? Manifolds have to be shipped to me in NJ. Any questions on prices or technical info, please email me at [email protected]
