I didnt know Steven Tyler bid on that car :P

Really though wonder how you can make the same mistake twice for the same amount esp for that $$$ figure.

Retracted: US $182,000.00
Explanation: Entered wrong bid amount Bid: Dec-08-04 14:34:35 PST

Retracted: Dec-08-04 14:35:23 PST
( 37) Retracted: US $182,000.00

Explanation: Entered wrong bid amount Bid: Dec-08-04 14:36:00 PST
Retracted: Dec-08-04 16:56:10 PST

Bidder even had to retract their big 2 times. Guess the new high bidder will be the lucky new owner of a rusted Yenko Deuce.

Re: Yenko Rustbucket- It's back!!!

Last time someone put a few grand down and sent his guy down to look at it. He got his money back, and went home. Several private inquiries have been made since then, but he seems set on 30k minus nos pts.
Bottom line is, if someone buys it and rebodies it, we'll most likley figure it out. Then what is it worth, or where is it's heritage?
Or you buy it for 30k, and sink 60k plus into the resto.
I'd still like to have it, but I'm not paying stupid money for it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bs.gif

is 60K the going price to restore a Yenko now days!!!!

Way to much and no doubt would be a fast mudd job with incorrect nuts and bolts + whatever else!!

$60K for a resto is nothing and I bet that car needs more than $60K to bring it back. But, the Deuce's might be bringing $100-125 by time you were done restoring it so it would probably be worth it in the long run. How many #'s matching Deuces are out there?

I think this is a good example of how the web has really corrected the market value of this Nova.
Like Ken said,If it is re-bodied,it will be known about.
The seller probably could have gotten the 30K earlier & easier w/o the internet, but now....

Re: Yenko Rustbucket- It's back!!!

Jeff, please note the + behind the 60k. I think you're right. I'm way low.
While we can never be sure where the market will go, I doubt this car would ever be seen the same as say Mark Hassett's H/O deuce.

Re: Yenko Rustbucket- It's back!!!

Correct, it would always be known as a heavily repaired/restored car. But how is that different from a car(any car, Camaro, Nova, Chevelle) that was hacked up to run slicks and a full cage or other racing mods? I'm sure somebody will "save" it. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif
