Re: Yenko Deuce Resto Details
Maybe they ordered too many boots for the auto shifters and decided to use them up on some of the 4 speed cars?

Re: Yenko Deuce Resto Details
Possibly, but not likely. From the info we have on the a/t deuces, the shifter came in the standard Hurst box along with a brochure, parts list, and instruction manual. So, the logic is that the boot bezel was included in the 'box' and not ordered separately. Knowing Yenko's frugalness, we assume that Yenko got Hurst to send him a batch for free - would explain a lot!

Re: Yenko Deuce Resto Details
No doubt theres a story behind it, and I will bet my last dollar that Don didn't just order a bunch of extra shifter boots for full retail price and randomly install them at no extra cost to the consumer... Would be nice to know what the real story is for sure...Too bad Don isn't around to answer these types of questions we may never know the true answers to.

Agree, on both counts.

Re: Yenko Deuce Resto Details
Rob has a good idea for this thread/topic. I'm going to scan all of my pics, then work with Rob to make one thread with them without any replies intermingled. We can then start individual threads per topic or detail pic. So, we'll relaunch this one after I get my pics scanned, and explanations written.

Marlin,
I was told to talk to you about finding the center caps for a 1970 yenko deuce. Even a clear picture of what they should look like would be of great help to me |
