The widow of Bill Mitchell lives outside of Austin, TX and is very active in our local Corvette club. She's been involved with the charity that our club donates to in the past. She is an interesting lady and very up on her car history. To think that she has driven some cars that I could only hope to see.

this is the hood that I have still painted same as in picture. It is all steel but looks similar to the glass L88 hood like Motion used.

The story on the 1st 70 camaro at Smokey .Was in Aug 95 issue of ALL Chevy Magazine on page 8 ...
Build date of NOV 69 and VIN #123870N500001 ..The story says the car was shipped to Smokey for hih speed testing.Also that the vin is for a 6cyl car but Smokey said it came to him with a HIPO V8 probably early LTI ..Car had std black interior ,heater delete,Special cowl hood ,solid bushed suspension and special front and rear sway bars ...Car was sold to David Tom of Peoria AZ (602)566-3077... I'll scan in the story when get my scanner set back up.. Hope this help |
