Re: CANADIANCOPO CAMARO

The build sheet you are referring to is a Chevrolet item that was not generated till the body was delivered to the Chevrolet line. The ID number was entered into the system and the final assembly was broadcast to all work stations on the final assembly line. The cowl tag was placed on the body by the Fisher Body plant prior to the car being painted. So - - on the broadcast sheet (aka build sheet) have not relation to Fisher Body

Re: CANADIANCOPO CAMARO

Sure
but the code 756 on a B/Sheet = Black ...Trim
the code 756 on the tag = Black ... Trim
- - on paper or on metal = - -
This is the relation https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif

Re: CANADIANCOPO CAMARO

Chevy seemed to have processed the special paint orders in different ways by year or assembly plant
69 Chevelle SS had a special paint option on the order sheet for Monaco Orange and Daytona Yellow that had no dash code and used std no. paint code. A 69 Chevelle non-SS car would have a dash paint code for same colors and a off the chart color such as Carolina Blue even on SS Chevelle got a dash paint code.
On the 67-68 Camaro seems they could get a dash paint code just for stripe delete order

Re: CANADIANCOPO CAMARO

Our documentation shows the PL5 (Uniroyals) but no ZP1. We have the ZV6 for the M20.

Re: CANADIANCOPO CAMARO

Keith what's year your GM Canada documentation
My first letter is dated 1995 and not show ZP1
But with the correction in 1997 GM Canada ad the code ZP1.

JoeC
More popular color like Hugger orange win..
Monaco Orange for many people it's unknown.

In Mopar the name Plum Crazy VS In-violet - Plum win...
Hemi Orange VS Tor-Red - Hemi Orange Win..
Panther Pink VS Moulin Rouge Panther Pink Win.. etc
But the real name for a purple 70 'Cuda this is In-Violet
Yenko.net show Hugger Orange (code 72)for 69 Chevelle Yenko
This is correct...Yes or No https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif
This is just a small detail but https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/blush.gif

Re: CANADIANCOPO CAMARO

My information is directly from the microfilm. In the 80's you also got a page from the microfilm showing your car amongst a host of others. This is where GM gets the info for our cars. Even the key codes are there but they don't pass that information out any more. I had this done in about 1988. I'm going to get it done again as the information is a little better showing the original dealer as well. At the time they had no information on the "Z" codes that related to the cars. The paint code is key to what the colour is, the name could be anything they dreamed up.
