John when you wait 8 weeks for their Great hood and it's 7/16 too narrow in the back and 3/8 too wide in the front and the inner structure in the front hits the rad support and it sets 2inches above the front fenders it's crap pic enclosed

Wow, that's really good to know. I really didn't think their quality was that bad, and that different from what was offered from other companies. Maybe when I decide to order my hood, it won't be from Unlimited Products. Thanks for the helpful info. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I don't think the quality of the Legendary hoods is the highest on the market. I got two hoods with the 87 Motion Monte Carlo and the used one is cracked around the hood latch area. The bottom of the hood has a thin plastic panel that is bonded to the top panel. It does not look strong enough to hold down the hood unless hood pins are used. The second hood is new and made the same way.

I did not mean the L-88 hood from Legendary is the best quality available, just that out of all the hoods I've seen from them the one I received is the best one I've seen them make. I think Hardwood makes the best quality hood of all the manufactures.
The L-88 Nova hood I rec. from legendary fits great, is not wavy and the underside's fit and finish is some of the best work I've seen on any hood. The cosmic tumblers at legendary must have all been aligned that day. I do have to say the L-88 Vega hood I bought from them was crap. Wavy, cut to short and the hood hinge bolt holes were crooked.

I have yet to hear any good comments about th stuff from Unlimited.

I think that most all fiberglass parts need some "masaging" to get them to fit right. I ordered an IROC valence from www.usbody.com , and it wasn't quite as straight as the original, and seemed like it was formed crooked. It looks really good though, as it seemed to straighten out when i bolted it down tight. Just goes to show you that aftermarket parts aren't always the way to go. What I'd really like to do is to get a steel L-88 hood, but i don't know anyone who makes them. I'd definitely prefer steel over fiberglass. Does anyone know if they make steel L-88 hoods?

does legendary fiberglass have a website ,how about a pic of there L88 hood.my unlimited hood is okay except for the leading edge of it were it contacts the header panel.in that area it's at least 3/8th" or more higher than the header panel.what about motion hoods are they still available ,i heard they're quite pricey but are the real deal.one thing thoug about unlimited is there hood scoops very nice reproductions of classic style scoops like the stinger and the old style mopar pro-stock scoop offered in many sizes but all for $50.00 . i don't know of any other fiberglass co. that makes classic ,old school scoops like unlimited [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/3gears.gif[/img]
