Re: 70 L-78/TH400 Camaro?
I'll bet acouple G's that Va. Tech beat Arkansas St. Today and I'll give you 55 points, that's about as far as I want to go unless I get to inspect the car.

I'd like to see this car. It reminds me of all the people that used to comment on my 1970 COPO Nova!

Re: 70 L-78/TH400 Camaro?
As far as I know no one has done a registry on the 1970 L-78 Camaro. I used to place ads in Hemmings and misc web sites when I was looking to buy one. I found several examples with unconfirmed(VIN number) ORIGINAL engines. Also found a few that were "restored" incorrectly and priced too high (IMHO).... and then also found another half dozen cars with no engine or trans.......It's my opinion that maybe 50 of the original 600 exist with the original engine BUT even that # might be way too high.....With all the knowledge, old magazines and dealer literature on this site, I would still like to see some PRINT evidence of the 1970 L-78/M-40(Turbo 400) ever being built. Could there have just been that ONE car in Calif and then the floor tunnel would not have a 4 spd hump correct??? ......Speaking of odd ball cars I ordered my first 1970 Z-28 with Turbo 400 on the column......how many of those were built????? ......Oh well, Chuck
